Conveyor Working Parts We Replace
Remcon replaces any working parts we use on our conveyors, as well as parts used on other brands of conveyors. These are the wear items that keep a belt conveyor running — and what each one does:
Bearings
The bearings carry the drive and tail pulley shafts, and they live a hard life around grit and dust. Remcon conveyors use the commonly available pillow block style, bolted on separately so a worn bearing can be swapped as its own part — and our belt take-ups accommodate almost any brand of pillow block bearing.
Sprockets
Sprockets drive the chain on drag chain and roller chain belt conveyors, and they wear together with the chain. We supply replacement sprockets for our own chain conveyors and for other brands, along with chain belt parts such as cross members, impact shoes, wear strips, cleats, and tracks.
Pulleys & Shafts
The drive pulley moves the belt by friction and the tail pulley returns it, so a worn pulley or a bent shaft shows up as tracking and slippage problems. Remcon supplies replacement drive and tail pulleys and shafts, including self-cleaning tail pulleys for conveyors that handle glass or other materials that cause excessive wear or build-up.
Motors
On Remcon conveyors the motor is mounted separately from the reducer and connected only by v-belts, so any brand of motor can be used and a motor breakdown does not affect the reducer — or vice-versa. That makes a failed motor a straightforward swap rather than a drive rebuild.
Reducers
The gear reducer converts motor speed into belt speed and torque. Remcon has used shaft-mounted Dodge Torque Arm II reducers since 1990; they are so commonly used in sand, rock, gravel, and mining service that they are quite often in stock at local dealers and almost always available somewhere in the country — and other brands, such as Link and Browning, can be substituted without modification.
V-Belts & Sheaves
The v-belts connect the motor to the reducer and double as jamming protection — if the conveyor jams, the v-belt slips instead of the drive breaking. They are inexpensive and easy to replace, and v-belt sheaves last much longer than drive chain and sprockets. We supply both.
Commonly Available vs. Custom-Fabricated Parts
Remcon designs its conveyors around the most commonly available parts whenever possible — pillow block bearings, standard motors, widely stocked reducers — so most working parts can be sourced quickly rather than special-ordered from a single manufacturer. When a part can't simply be bought, we fabricate it: Remcon is able to build many different custom conveyor parts for most brands of conveyors, in our own shop.

Parts for Conveyors Remcon Didn't Build
A conveyor doesn't have to be a Remcon to get parts support from us. We supply working parts for other brands of conveyors, and we are also asked to build replacement parts to fit them — from standard parts matched to the machine to custom fabricated pieces replicated from the worn original. If the original manufacturer's part is hard to get, send us what you have and we'll price it against it.
