Custom heavy-duty conveyors and turn-key systems, designed and welded at our shop in Airway Heights, in Spokane County — building recycling equipment since 1977. Built for the Inland Northwest, shipped and installed nationwide.

Remcon Equipment is a conveyor manufacturer in Spokane, Washington — more precisely in Airway Heights, the Spokane County town where our shop at 2207 S. Lawson St. designs, welds, and assembles heavy-duty recycling equipment — a trade Remcon has practiced since 1977. If your plant is in the Inland Northwest, the people who engineer your conveyor, the welders who build it, and the crew that installs it all work out of the same building, a short drive from Spokane.

A Conveyor Shop in Spokane County Since 1977

Remcon began building recycling equipment in 1977 as a division of a structural steel fabricator, and incorporated as Remcon Equipment, Inc. in 1991. Since then the shop has produced more than 1,500 systems — some consisting of up to 20 conveyors and related equipment — for facilities that handle materials rough on machinery: whole and broken glass, tin and aluminum cans, plastic, paper, and corrugated containers. Approximately 95% of production is slider bed, drag chain belt, and roller chain belt conveyors, plus the support structures, hoppers, chutes, and personnel platforms that go with them.

What We Build in Airway Heights

Every conveyor Remcon builds is fabricated in-house, from raw plate and structural steel to the finished, nameplated machine. The core of the catalog:

Slider Bed Conveyors

Chain Belt Conveyors

Sorting & Separation Equipment

Turn-Key Conveyor Systems

Since 1998 we have also supplied conveyors for computerized optical sorting systems — more than 150 high-speed optical sorting conveyors to date — often as an OEM conveyor partner for manufacturers integrating our conveyors into their own equipment.

Serving Spokane, the Inland Northwest & the Rest of the Country

For Spokane-area recycling plants, solid waste facilities, and manufacturers, working with a Spokane conveyor manufacturer keeps everything close: the shop that holds your drawings, the crew that installs and repairs your equipment, and the phone that gets answered Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM Pacific, are all at the same address.

But Remcon is not a local-only company. Low overhead lets our small 2–4 person crews travel to practically anywhere in the United States and Canada, and we have done on-site work in Sweden and Australia; systems built in this shop run in plants throughout the U.S. and abroad. Wherever your facility is, the full catalog starts at our conveyors overview and turn-key systems pages — this page is simply the local doorway.

Why a Local Manufacturer Beats a Distributor for Custom Work

A distributor resells conveyors built somewhere else — customization means picking options from someone else's catalog, and questions get relayed through a sales office. A custom conveyor manufacturer starts from your material, your loads, and your building instead. When the design office, the weld shop, and the installation crews share one roof, the differences show up quickly:

  • Design informed by the field — Remcon's design personnel are regularly involved in the installation and repair of machinery, so the lessons from the last job are drawn into the next one.
  • Simplicity by design — simplicity is the highest design priority, for initial cost, maintenance cost, and downtime, and we are often able to re-design systems with fewer conveyors and smaller building space requirements.
  • Readily available components — machine components are chosen to be readily available for future replacement, rather than proprietary parts only the builder can supply.
  • One accountable shop — the company that quoted the conveyor also welds it, installs it, and supplies belts and parts for the life of the machine.

We are often asked to find solutions to conveying problems where standard machinery is too light-duty or not effective — the kind of work a catalog cannot answer.
